We rejoice in the historic gesture of Pope Benedict XVI in giving us the opportunity to enter the fullness of Catholic life in communion with the Apostolic See whilst retaining elements of the patrimony of our Anglican tradition as a precious gift “ nourishing the faith of the mem bers of the Ordinariate and as a treasure to be shared. We are a growing parish, celebrating the joy of being Catholic, striving to make disciples of all nations, and conscious of our call to help heal the divisions in Christendom. Rooted in Catholic teaching and practice our worship is infused with our noble Anglican liturgical, musical and spiritual patrimony, as reflected in our liturgy, preaching and teaching. It was designated as a Municipal Historic Resource in 2010. The former Anglican parish was founded in 1905 (as part of the Church of England in Canada), and the present church dates from 1911, a living tribute to the work and ministry of the parish’s second rector, Canon Gervase Edward Gale.
